Paul Myles is Professor and Director of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, and at Monash University, Australia. He is an Australian NHMRC Practitioner Fellow, a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Science, an Editor of the British Journal of Anaesthesia, an Editorial Consultant for The Lancet, and an editorial board member of Anesthesiology and Anaesthesia and Intensive Care
Dr Jonathan Nicholson

Dr Jonathan Nicholson

Dr. Jonathan Nicholson is an anaesthetic specialist at The Alfred. He undertook a fellowship in Intensive Care and Perioperative Medicine at The Alfred where he helped evolve the perioperative service through the establishment of formal post operative reviews of the high risk surgical patients. His interests include medicine and quality improvement in the post-operative period, trauma anaesthesia and retrieval medicine.
Prof David Story

Professor David Story is Chair of Anaesthesia at the University of Melbourne; and Head of the Anaesthesia, Perioperative and Pain Medicine Unit within the Melbourne Medical School. He promotes research and teaching at the 14 hospitals affiliated with the University of Melbourne, and has two particular research interests: first, strategies to reduce complications after surgery and anaesthesia; and second, acid-base disorders and the underlying pathophysiology.

Professor Matthew Naughton is head of the General Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Service, within the Department of Allergy Immunology and Respiratory Medicine, Alfred Hospital and Monash University. His research has focused on sleep, cardiopulmonary disease and non-invasive positive airway pressure.

Dr Andew Silvers is a specialist Anaesthetist.His clinical interests are Cardiothoracic anaesthesia incorporating heart & lung transplant, transoesophageal echocardiography, acute trauma resuscitation and in particular haematological implications of trauma and massive transfusion. He also has interests in the preoperative risk assessment and risk modification prior to major surgery.
Dr Sesto Cairo

Dr Sesto Cairo is a specialist Anaesthetist at the Alfred. His main clinical interests are in Neuro and Cardiothoracic anaesthesia incorporating heart and lung transplant and transoesophageal echo. He has recently been Supervisor of Anaesthetic Training and developed a web based registrar assessment tool. Sesto is a Fellowship Examiner for the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
Dr Amanda Davis

Dr Amanda Davis is a haematologist at The Alfred Hospital. She spent 2 years in Boston in the Harvard Medical School Fellowship Program in Transfusion Medicine. During her 2nd year of fellowship she performed research into the biology of ADAMTS13, the enzyme responsible for cleavage of von Willebrand factor. She has a strong interest in Transfusion Medicine as well as bleeding and clotting disorders.

Dr Timothy Hucker is a qualified pain specialist and anaesthetist, who works at the Peter MacCallum cancer hospital as well as the Alfred Hospital. He has a strong interest in pain medicine and pain education.

Dr Sunderland is a Geriatrician who works at Northern Health in Victoria. She has in interest in peri operative medicine in older people and helped to establish the PRIME service there in 2010.

Dr Kovi Levin is a Respiratory and Sleep Physician. He has been working as a specialist in the Lung Transplant Unit at The Alfred Hospital since August 2015.
