In addition, Professor Myles is an Australian National Health & Medical Research Council Practitioner Fellow. |

Dr Joel Symons Dr Joel Symons is a Consultant Anaesthetist and Acting Head of the Acute Pain Service in the Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at the Alfred Hospital. He is the Perioperative Medicine Short Course Convenor, and is a Senior Lecturer in Anaesthesia at Monash University. His interests include Medicine, Airway Management, Acute Pain and Neuroanaesthesia. |

Dr Helen Kolawole Dr Helen Kolawole is a staff anaesthetist at Frankston Hospital. She has been involved in allergy matters since the mid 1990s. She was invited by the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy to be on the working party that prepared guidelines for management of latex allergic individuals. She has a Master in Clinical Education, is an EMAC instructor and a first part ANZCA examiner. |

Assoc. Professor Alison Street Associate Professor Alison Street is head of Haemostasis/ Thrombosis at The Alfred Hospital. She is Vice President Medical of the World Federation of Haemophilia and is actively involved in haemophilia on an international scale. She received an AO in 2005 for services to medicine and has been a chief examiner for the college of pathologists and actively involved in the college of physicians. |

Dr Alan Young Dr Alan Young is a respiratory and sleep physician in the Department of Allergy Immunology and Respiratory Medicine at the Alfred Hospital. His areas of interest include general respiratory medicine, sleep medicine, non-invasive ventilation, cystic fibrosis, lung function and exercise testing. Assoc. Prof Harvey Newnham A/Prof Harvey Newnham is Director of General Medicine and an Endocrinologist at the Alfred Hospital. He has a strong interest in perioperative medicine and acute medical assessments as well as medical education and training. He is a Chairman of the Victorian and Tasmanian DPTs committee and previous chair of the Endocrine Specialist Advisory Committee for the RACP. |

Dr Sesto Cairo Dr Sesto Cairo is aspecialist Anaesthetist at the Alfred. His main clinical interests are in Neuro and Cardiothoracic anaesthesia incorporating heart and lung transplant and transoesophageal echo. He has recently been Supervisor of Anaesthetic Training and developed a web based registrar assessment tool. Sesto is a Fellowship Examiner for the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. |

Dr Andrew Silvers Dr Andew Silvers is a specialist Anaesthetist and Deputy Director of the Dept of Anaesthesia at the Alfred Hospital.His clinical interests are in Cardiothoracic anaesthesia incorporating heart & lung transplant & transoesophageal echocardiography and acute trauma resuscitation and in particular haematological implications of trauma and massive transfusion. In addition he has interests in the preoperative risk assessment and risk modification prior to major surgery. |

Dr Andrew Robinson Dr Andrew Robinson is an anaesthetist with interests in obstetric anaesthesia and anaesthesia in the cardiac catheter laboratory. He is part way through a Masters of Medical Education, and spends time teaching at Southern Health's Simulation Centre where he is in charge of the Anaesthesia Crisis Resource Management (ACRM) and Effective Management of Anaesthetic Crises (EMAC) courses run by that centre. |

Professor Matthew Naughton Professor Matthew Naughton is head of the General Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Service, within the Department of Allergy Immunology and Respiratory Medicine, Alfred Hospital and Monash University. His research has focused on sleep, cardiopulmonary disease and non-invasive positive airway pressure. |

Dr Amanda Davis Dr Mandy Davis is a haematologist at The Alfred Hospital. She spent 2 years in Boston in the Harvard Medical School Fellowship Program in Transfusion Medicine. During her 2nd year of fellowship she performed research into the biology of ADAMTS13, the enzyme responsible for cleavage of von Willebrand factor. She has a strong interest in Transfusion Medicine as well as bleeding and clotting disorders. |

Dr David Daly Dr David Daly completed a Fellowship in Adult Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia at Papworth NHS Trust in Cambridge U.K. He is now a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist at Alfred Hospital. His clinical interests include cardiothoracic anaesthesia and transplantation, thorocic paravertebral analgesia, management of major trauma and breast cancer reconstructive surgery. |

Dr Stuart Marshall Dr Stuart Marshall is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Monash Medical Centre and Frankston Hospitals. As a Crisis Resource Management Instructor and the Research Coordinator at the Southern Health Simulation and Skills Centre, he teaches regularly on the ANZCA Effective Management of Anaesthetic Crises (EMAC) and EMAC instructors’ courses. He has a Masters Degree in Human Factors. |

Dr Anthony Burn Dr Anthony Burn became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 1990. and is currently a visiting Anaesthetist at the Alfred Hospital. In 1994 Tony administered the first anaesthetic in Australia for laparoscopic gastric banding used in the treatment of obesity; he has maintained an interest in anaesthesia for the obese patient since, and has made regular presentations on this topic. |
